On my New Zealand self-drive holiday with Motorhome Rentals I wanted to explore the marvels of the North Island. My preferred destination was Auckland due to the extensive range of tourist attractions and exciting activities for the whole family. I enjoyed the sightseeing & shopping in Auckland and explored the scenic loveliness of the New Zealand coastline as well. Auckland, the charming city of sails was the first destination on my campervan holiday. Take the picturesque drive through the CBD and travel around the viaduct where you can select from several restaurants and amiable cafes. I headed southwards after leaving the scenic splendours of Auckland and made a stopover at Auckland's historic land mark, the renowned One Tree Hill. Located in a beautiful park this spot is an idyllic stopover for lunch with lots of leafy trees and play equipment amidst which we savoured a relaxing lunch.

After Auckland our next destination was Miranda which entailed an effortless drive along the motorway all the way through thriving farmland with picturesque views of the Firth of Thames in the background. Miranda Holiday Park has the most excellent facilities for families.

Steer your vehicle up the road along the picturesque Firth of Thames drive en route for the local fish and chip shop. Treat yourself to awe-inspiring scenery and discover the free camp spot located on the water.

I was awestruck by the pictorial drive with quite a few windy spots yet there were lots of places to halt the vehicle and take in the awesome views. Our next stop was the Cooks Beach Vineyard where we savoured splendid Chardonnay. Cooks Beach is a sluggish little place with a gorgeous beach which is ideal for boating, fishing and a bit of safe swimming. Take the scenic drive on the road to the local lookout and prepare to be captivated by the awe-inspiring views of Cooks Beach and Coromandel.

This was the end of my memorable Motorhome Rental New Zealand trip around the incredibly scenic North Island. However this is only the beginning of great things to come in future and I definitely intend to revisit this marvellous destination on my next self-drive holiday around New Zealand.
